Biome Description:
Marrowroot is made mostly of forests. There is a giant clearing with a small lake. The river runs through both ends of the forest and through the clearing. The mountains are to the north. Most do not go up into the mountains as they are not sure what lives up here. Most Zeracorns in the Marrowroot Herd are not made for snow and high altitudes. The west side of the forest is where the main herd is located. The trees are mostly large redwoods with lots of forest floor vegetation to graze on. These horses have adapted to scavenging the forest floors. Sometimes they will travel to the clearing to enjoy some lush grass. The clearing’s lake is beautiful and it sits at the base of the mountains. The east side of the forest isn’t as heavily traveled. It’s made up of mostly pines and spruce trees. They grow thick and large, cutting off a lot of growth on the forest floor. It’s mostly covered by pine needles and pine cones. Just south west of the pine forest, is another clearing and the end of the Marrowroot Herd territory. There is a small beach located on the southern end of the main clearing. You can see some small islands across the bay channel. There have been a few who have swam across it to get to the islands. They are officially part of the Marrowroot territory now.
